Bought last January from Home Depot in Winnipeg after my previous snowblower finally packed it in after almost 30 years.I bought that one from the Bay when things were made to last.
My new ariens 30" deluxe broke after 15 minutes of use the belt came off because a gear wasn't installed properly and this also caused the plastic cover to melt. They weren't going to cover it under warrantee because belts are not covered and they thought maybe I had some hard snow or ice go into the impeller. Could you image that happening with a snowblower and being an issue? It tends to jump down my driveway leaving small bumps.
my old one never did that even at full speed. This year the electric start will not engage, it just spins.
If these are the best what must the others be like? They do look nice sitting in the garage, just don't try to use it.
